Canada chat is a free adult text room for people in Canada. The room language is English. French speakers are welcome, but moderation is in English. You must be 18 or older, and there is no sign up.
What the Canada room is for
This room is for adult conversation and flirting between Canadians, in text. It is also for the ordinary talk that comes with it: hockey, winter, long drives and the price of groceries.
Canada has six time zones. Evening in Halifax is afternoon in Vancouver. So it helps to name your province or your time zone when you say hello.
The site has no matching by location. The only place detail on screen is a country next to a name, when the site can detect it.
Who Canadian chat rooms are for, and who they are not for
The room is for adults who live in Canada, from any province or territory. It is for French speakers who are happy to chat in English.
People under 18 cannot use the site, in any province. The room is not for people who want a French-only room. It is not for people who look for a meeting in a named town. It is not for sellers or advertisers.
How to get into the chat in your browser
There is one form and it has four steps. First, type any name. Second, select Male, Female or Other. Third, enter your date of birth. Fourth, tick "I am 18 or older and I accept the terms". After that, tap "Chat now".
You give no email and you make no password. The site works on a phone in the browser, and there is nothing to install. The guide to chat rooms with no sign up explains how names work when there are no accounts.
Rules of the Canada room
- Write in English in the public room. The moderators read English, so they can help you in English.
- A greeting in French is fine. Two French speakers can continue in private messages.
- A province or a big region is fine. A town, a street, a postal code and a workplace are not.
- Do not mock a person for an accent, a language or a province.
The rest is the same on every page of the site. Content that involves minors is banned, real or fictional, and so are incest or family content, bestiality and toilet play. Selling, buying, harassment, threats, spam, impersonation and sharing private messages of other users are banned too. The guide on how moderation works explains what happens after a report.
Staying safe: small towns and small details
Canada is large, but many of its towns are small. In a small town, two or three details can point to one person.
Be careful with images too. A car plate, a store sign, a local team jacket and mail with your postal code all show a place. The site checks every image before people see it and deletes images after 24 hours. It cannot stop a person who saves an image first.
Phone numbers, links and handles for other apps do not pass the filter of the public room. A Canadian phone number has an area code, and an area code shows a region. The guide on staying private in adult chat gives more examples.
Tips for a first message in Canada chat
Name a province or a time zone, add one detail, and end with a question.
- "Hi from Alberta. Minus twenty outside, so I am staying in. Who wants to talk?"
- "Evening from Nova Scotia. Storm outside, tea inside. Anyone want to chat?"
- "Bonjour from Montreal. My English is fine, my jokes are not. Who is up?"
- "Ontario, 33, flirty and done with work. What is everyone doing tonight?"
- "Settle this: is a butter tart better with raisins or without?"
Questions about Canada Chat
Can I write in French in Canada chat?
The room language is English, and moderation is in English. A short greeting in French is fine, and French speakers are welcome. If you and another person both want to chat in French, continue in private messages.
Do I have to be in Canada to join?
The form does not ask where you live, and it does not ask for proof. The room is for people in Canada, and the talk is about life there.
Can I find people in my province or city?
No. The site has no location search and does not match people by province or city. At most, a country appears beside a name. You can name your province in the room, but other people do not have to.
What can other people see about me?
Other users see your name, your gender, your age and your country. They do not see your IP address, your province or your device. The site records your IP address and device data for bans, abuse handling and legal reports. It deletes them 90 days after your last visit, and it does not sell this data.
How do I report someone in the room?
Tap the username and choose Report. For a picture, tap the image and choose Report image. Your report reaches a moderator with the 20 most recent messages.
